As Amy and I walked through town to return a DVD to the movie store yesterday, we discovered something: Our lives now seem to revolve around food.
On the weekend, we plan our schedule around when we can go grocery shopping and when the market is open. When we come home from work, the first thing we do is decide what we're having for dinner. We spend time at the bookstore reading books with easy recipes in them. We plan our budget around how much we spend on lunches and dinner. When we walk into town, it's a serious struggle not to stop and buy a chocolate bar or a dessert at a cafe (we usually lose the struggle). Our conversations seem to always circle back to food. And we've realized one of the best things about traveling is discovering the new foods in the places you go.
I guess it's a good thing I live in town and walk everywhere I go.
