getting home

After three days in the car I made it home safe and sound earlier this week, but my phone did not. I left it in my friend's apartment in California, and I am going crazy without it. I left church today and reached into my purse to check for missed calls, but my phone wasn't there. I didn't know what to do with myself. I'm hoping I'll get it tomorrow; if not I might do something drastic.

The drive was nice, but long. We stopped in Hollywood and also made a detour to Carmel-by-the-Sea, which was beautiful. For the past few days we've been seeing the sights of my hometown and surrounding areas, which is fun because I haven't done that in a while.

This morning we tried to go to a Sunday School class, but we got to church and didn't know what room the class was in, and by the time we found out, everything had already started. So we left and took a tour of the town and then came back and toured the church. Everything has changed a lot since I lived here full time. It's all the same, but different, which is weird, and I feel suprised by that every six months or so when I come back.
