Things I've Learned after 12 days in New Zealand

1. Wellington is called Windy Welly for a reason.
2. Wellington really is nicer than Auckland.
3. "Tea" is a warm drink and also another name for dinner.
4. Central heating is very nice, but without it, power bills are very small.
5. Wearing two pairs of socks keeps your toes warm, but it makes your shoes a little snug as well.
6. Flip flops are "jandals" and tank tops are "singlettes."
7. "College" is high school, and "uni" is where you go after college.
8. Kiwi fruit comes in more than one variety.
9. Drinking tea really does warm you up.
10. "Lollies" are any kind of candy, not just hard candy on sticks.
11. Cell phones are very cheap in America.
12. Finding a flat and flatmates in the Saturday paper can be an adventure.
13. Cadbury chocolate is awesome.
14. Skiing on an active volcano is a possibility that will probably happen on Tuesday.
