My way to work

My walk to work takes about 15 minutes if I walk briskly. I walk down steep hill -it's got about an 70 degree slope I'm pretty sure - and arrive on a busy business street with a tunnel underneath for pedestrians to avoid traffic. Then I walk down a steep brick lane lined with small cafes, bakeries and shops and arrive on the main business and shopping street in Wellington, which is crowded with professionals dressed in black and who are all in too big of a hurry to wait for the crosswalk light to turn green. From there I walk past several pharmacies, a Starbucks (one of only three in the city), many cafes and a government bookstore, before I reach Parliament. I walk inside the wall and along the manicured lawn because I can and it makes me feel cool, and up a gradual hill. Girls in blue or teal plaid skirts with yellow and black striped scarves walk to school in groups, pairs of them darting into the dairies to buy breakfast or candy for the day. Eventually I arrive at my building, take the elevator up and use my security card to enter the office.
I feel so grown up.

I second the desire for a picture journey, and I believe that was one of the best descriptive paragraphs I've ever read by you. I look forward to more, MORE!
